A Featured Attraction
There are twenty six different window displays in the museum. A featured attraction of this window display is this beautiful French clock, circa 1850, made by LeRolle Frehes of Paris. It stands a little over 33 inches high and weighs about 80 pounds. The attention to detail was great and the porcelain enameled dial is segmented. During the period this clock was made, enameling was expensive to do so they would build the dial in segements so if it was damaged or just didn't turn out right, it did not distroy the whole dial.
Old Beauty
One of the favorites in the museum (there are many favorites) is this circa 1789 brass and gilded gold bell striker. While it is very heavy, it is also very graceful. The figurines depict a warm, tender, and playful scene.

Crystal Regulators
Just as carriage clocks come in all shapes and sizes, so do crystal regulators. This example is dated 1881, is sixteen inches tall and was made by Ansonia.

They are called crystal regulators because of the glass or crystal on all four sides.

More Crystal Regulators
Everyone likes crystal regulators. They made them from the very simple and as small as eight inches tall to the very ornate and as tall as thirty inches.
